Using Noor
Noor is free to download and use. Noor Plus unlocks extra features with a one-time purchase.
Noor Plus
Noor Plus is a one-time purchase in the Mac App Store. It works on every Mac using your Apple account, and offline. You can try it free for 7 days by starting the trial in the app. The trial runs once per Apple account, and nothing is charged when it ends. A Windows version, when it is released, will be sold separately.
Purchases and refunds
Apple handles every purchase, under its own terms. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple decides refunds, not us. If you buy on a new Mac or reinstall, use Restore Purchases in Noor's Settings.
Prayer times
Prayer times are calculated with well-known methods and your own settings. Small differences from your local masjid are normal; please follow your masjid or scholar where they differ.
The Imam's voice
The Imam speaks recorded lines only. We made his voice ourselves with open-source tools that run on our own computer: the Qwen3-TTS model (Apache License 2.0) and Voicebox (MIT). It is an original voice and copies no real person, scholar or reciter.
Credits
Prayer times are calculated with Adhan (MIT licence). The Azaan is a recording from Doha, Qatar, from the Internet Archive's Adhan Recordings from Doha, Qatar (Public Domain Mark 1.0). The Imam was modelled and animated by us in Blender, starting from the MakeHuman base mesh (CC0). The full licence texts are in the app, under Settings, General, About Noor and credits.
No warranty
Noor is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it accurate and reliable, but we can't promise it will never have a fault.
